The Echo Park Project was founded in 2006 by Carlo Lopez, a Latin percussionist from Brooklyn New York who wanted to recreate the legendary salsa style of NYC in Southern California. To achieve that, Carlo engaged session and in-demand musicians in California of high caliber like John Belzaguy, Joey de Leon, and Artie Webb, just to name a few.

Their repertoire is a combination of original material and hot 70’s cover tunes, which have been sung from Tito Allen to…..  Since its creation, the band has developed a loyal following and has released two CD’s a debut (“Retro New York Salsa” and follow-up “El Viernes Social”.)

Thanks to modern technology in the hands of Carlo Lopez, and their tight swing, their music has been heard from Colombia to Japan.
